Questions to ask yourself

So you have decided to introduce the world wide web to your business? Or maybe you already have a website and want to redesign it. Whichever the case may be, you need to ask yourself some questions and know the answers to them before you have your website designed. Below are a few questions that everyone should ask themselves before they jump into having a website designed.

  1. What are your goals and needs for the website? What do you want to get from it?
  2. Do you want an informational site or do you want an interactive site?
  3. Do you want bells and whistles or do you want a more simple design?
  4. Do you have a budget? And what is your budget?
  5. Who will be your audience?
  6. Who is your target market?
  7. Has your business been already established for a while or is the website helping to launch a new business?
  8. Do you have an existing website?
  9. Why are you not happy with your website?
  10. What do you want to improve or change?
  11. Will your website be an e-commerce site?
  12. How many pages do you want on your site? (FYI: To be listed on Google's search engine, you need to have at least 10 pages.)
